Helping Hands Clinic is a non-profit (501C-3) free clinic serving Hamblen County residents who have no insurance. Its viability relies heavily on private donations.

The Helping Hands Clinic was founded in 2003. Since then, the clinic has been blessed with the donation of money, a building, furniture, office equipment, computers, medications and the efforts of many volunteers. This has helped hold expenses down while allowing us to provide more than 2,000 patient appointments in a year’s time. Since many of these patients would have had to seek help in a hospital emergency room if the clinic had not been available to them, hundreds of thousands of dollars in ER costs have been avoided.

The clinic is open for scheduling appointments on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. And on Wednesday from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. Appointments are usually within two weeks of calling for an appointment. The office coordinator is bilingual, and an interpreter is usually available during appointments. The clinic is closed on Friday.

A doctor or nurse practitioner is in the office to see patients from 3 to 7 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, from 1-5 p.m. On Wednesday and from 4 to 7 p.m. On Thursday. To make an appointment, please call 423-581-4100.
